The detection of objects left behind is of interest in many sectors. For example: in heavily journeyed zones, like airports and train or metro stations, our system can detect a potential left object and warn security personnel. In the future, it will also be able to determine what level of risk exists; for example, whether the left item should be treated as a threat, such as a package bomb, or as an everyday occurrence, such as luggage forgotten by a passenger or a suitcase that has fallen off the baggage belt.
